As the most senior client contact, the managing director must earn the respect of clients based on helping them achieve their objectives. In order to do that, the managing director has to have the respect of all of the team. The managing director leads the agency to work as a team, produce work that the agency feels good about, and work that produces results for clients.

The Managing Director needs to watch every expense, be keenly aware of all financials, and constantly look for new revenue. Being accountable to client acquisition and retention is crucial to this role. The managing director must be willing and able to make the tough calls on unprofitable clients and over budget departments. All the while, the Managing Director must be keeping highly intelligent and creative employees happy, motivated and focused.

Responsibilities:
- Support inside sales team on closing deals
- Provide strategy support to implementation team
- Act as client advocate for issues elevated beyond project manager
- Implement programs to increase client acquisition and retention
- Increase profit

- $48,000 compensation package
- 2.5% of profit bonus package

You have:
Â
- Experience in a business development or account management role in an agency, corporate or consulting environment.
- Expertise in marketing operations, agency management, or decoupling marketing solutions.
- BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, business or related field with an in-depth knowledge and a minimum of eight years of combined marketing communications, professional services, or agency business development experience.
- Demonstrate strategic understanding of digital channels like social media, mobile, and other adtech.
- Proven ability to make a professional and positive impression with senior management within potential client organizations
- Successful track record at building and presenting concepts/programs for clients and new business opportunities
- Direct management experience of team comprised of 4 or more
- Proven track record of showing improvement in cost, quality and cycle time metrics in a creative environment
- Understands components, cycle times and production and distribution requirements of social, CRM and advertising deliverables.
- Understands client concerns and has an ability to manage expectations that keeps the client and internal team happy
