Position Overview

The Director of Quality Assurance & Manufacturing will be responsible for efficient and effective day-to-day management of Quinn product quality. The position requires the candidate to take the lead in providing tactical and functional execution of product quality and manufacturing initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain Quinn systems & procedures for Manufacturing & Product Specifications, Traceability & Recall, and Food Safety fundamentals.
  • Ensure that flawless recall procedures are in place and tested
  • Develop and issue manufacturing control plans for new products and processes
  • Develop and maintain useful raw material, packaging, and finished product databases
  • Manage consumer affairs response, reporting, analysis & investigations, and provide monthly management reports.
  • Ensure compliance and transparency with the Quinn Farm-to-Bag mission with existing & new suppliers. Responsible for continuous improvement of new ingredients and suppliers.
  • Responsible for Nutrition Facts Panels and ingredient statements as needed. Maintain compliance with nutritional labeling and product package claims
  • Manage third party quality certifications including NonGMO Project, GFCO, Kosher, Organic, Fair Trade, and others.
  • Support the new product development process.
  • Continuously improve GMP's through regular audits of copackers, vendors, and distributors
  • Serve as a liaison between vendors, copackers, and customers on quality initiatives
  • Oversee production runs at co-manufacturers monthly to ensure finished products meet specifications

Position Qualifications & Requirements

  • Boulder, CO based position.
  • Extensive Monthly travel as required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in CPG Quality Assurance.
  • Undergraduate degree required, BS in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills are necessary.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers desired.
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP certification, FSMA Requirements, FDA and /or USDA Rules and Regulations
  • Baking experience desired
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
