Job Overview:
Reporting to the CFO, this person will be responsible for the month end close, operational accounting, financial reporting and tax reporting. This role will be critical in helping “I and love and you” manage daily accounting activities in order to provide efficient, accurate and timely financial reporting to the management team.</p>
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the chart of accounts and overseeing all aspects of the month end close and general ledger functions.
- Responsible for overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll (outsourced)
- Must take ownership and understand the accounting ERP system (Net Suite) and all other related systems.
- Responsible for month-end close including preparing various balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and gathering support to facilitate the close process.
- Partner with other members of the team to ensure that accounting processes and procedures are followed and completed to support and reinforce key business objectives.
- Assist in maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and actual expenditures.
- Consistently evaluate business processes to identify and implement, with the help of the finance team, efficiencies across functional areas
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required CPA Preferred
- 4-6 years of industry experience
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Consumer goods experience preferred
- Has no problem working in a dog-friendly environment
- Person of high character and integrity
- Microsoft Office Experience with particular strength in Excel
