Full Job Description

Purpose:  

The Business Growth & Operation Manager is focused both on building consulting capacity, driving demand and identifying operational synergies to support the evolution and growth of Impact Point into a thriving, agile and scalable organization. A primary focus is to oversee and organize the activities of the business to include but not be limited to sales operations, business development, human resources, accounts payable/receivable, legal, and IT/technology. As a leader in the organization the Business Growth & Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in the next phase of evolution for the company and be a key contributor to identifying and executing the company’s growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations and deliver on strategy and operational plans from the planning process against the strategic vision for the company.
  • Establish an operating rhythm of the business to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet goals and objectives.
  • Identify metrics to improve business performance and drive business actions. Develop and track key KPIs across the team to track strategic goals, milestones and accomplishments.
  • Oversee team communication and collaboration; help to shape the company culture and reinforce core values through programs, processes and policies that contribute to people and business success
  • Improve, create and document processes to minimize complexities and promote effective operations; manage on cloud repository
  • Partner with Finance and the company president to manage, analyze and review organizational budgets, measure & track ROI Plan and manage budget including expense tracking. Find and pursue cost reduction opportunities.
  • Analyze services pricing strategy and provide recommendations for standard service packages and pricing based on financial, competitive and industry analysis.
  • Perform the day-to-day activities related to HR, employee performance management tracking, accounts payable and receivable, legal, insurance, and IT requirements; manage client-facing procurement systems and requirements,and maintainvendor and supplier relationships.
  • Partner with marketing to develop and manage sales tools such as sales presentations, services briefs, and overall asset repository and disseminate relevant information to sales leads on a regular basis
  • Drive demand by leading sales operations function; manage deliverables through key steps of the sales process from estimate and proposal through to contract, statement of work and integration into financial/accounts payable and receivable schedules and related.
  • Manage implementation of CRM system and related processes and reporting; create a process and regular cadence for lead tracking activities; oversee training and system roll out.
  • Collaborate with President to develop relationships with key agency partners to allow for selling with, through and to partners; define business relationship and deal structure, research licensing and delivery models for white label and resale models, among others
  • Create capacity by formalizing the independent contractor program; standardize rates and pricing for services rendered, simplify onboarding, oversee communications and training to build a bench of client-and internally utilized 1099 contractors
  • Client-facing and consultant team project support if needed in times of peak project volume, and to allow for immersive learning of the service offerings and delivery processes

What You Will Bring:

  • Ability to act and operate as an internal consultant, working directly with multiple stakeholders, management, and various related departments be able to optimize team performance.
  • Ability to own projects/ programs from cradle to grave: business case, scope, cost, schedule, action cycles, risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies and milestones.
  • A wide swath of business and industry experience; familiarity with processes and across standard corporate business functions
  • High emotional intelligence and capable of building strong relationships up, down, and sideways in the organization
  • An understanding of professional services organizations; how to grow and scale businesses that are dependent on people and talent

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in operations, strategy, business development.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of Fortune 500 companies and their procurement processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, business judgment, and analytical skills.
  • Relentlessly resourceful and able to drive projects autonomously, with limited oversight.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to clearly explain complex issues to a range of audiences.
  • Experience managing teams and cross-functional projects preferred.
  • Adept at all business software applications; with a proven mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel and Word, Mac Pages and Google suite of applications.
  • Ability to embrace and use cloud-based software tools adeptly.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based software solutions for business operations including, Google Suite, Google Docs, QuickBooks Online, Harvest Time Tracking (or similar), Expensify (or similar).
