If you are selected for this exciting opportunity, you will play a critical role in defining the future strategic direction for our customers and will be responsible for driving the in-store agenda, finding synergies between Lily’s Sweets and customer strategies and developing breakthrough programming and innovation. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Innovation, the Shopper Marketing Manager must be energetic, enthusiastic, highly collaborative and able to develop relevant and engaging solutions in our fast-paced environment.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Lead Shopper Marketing agenda for Lily’s by uncovering the core shopper insights, setting objectives, creating the strategy, developing & executing the plan as well as tracking success.
- Develop holistic learning agenda for key customers and develop shopper centric selling stories.
- Work with sales team through the development of their customer plans as well as acting as a key resource to the sales team.
- Lead Retailer and Shopper programming development and execution as well as post-analysis to optimize programming in the future.
- Monitor performance on a period basis to proactively identify course corrections and/or new opportunities.
- Use shopper research and an understanding of the retailer strategies/ objectives to define insight-based shopper marketing programs that achieve customer, brand and company goals within the specified class of trade.
- Effectively manage Shopper Marketing budget & demonstrate strong agency leadership.
- Perform post-analytics on key programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop strong working relationships with Sales, Finance, Brand Marketing, and external partners to ensure cross-functional achievement of company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA in relevant field, Marketing/Business Administration preferred.
- 4+ years of experience with shopper and customer marketing (prefer fast-paced consumer packaged goods experience).
- You have experience working with national retailer teams (e.g., category managers, merchants, marketing managers, insight managers, etc.).
- Experience managing or working with marketing agencies.
- You are a self-starter.
- You have excellent analytical skills and business acumen to build strong business cases for change.
- You have a high digital awareness and strong office productivity software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel) skills.
- You have strong oral and written communication skills to influence and secure cross functional support.
- You are able to quickly interpret and carry out shopper communication objectives to ensure reason-to-buy is readily apparent on finished deliverables.
- You are a self-starter and able to work independently.
- You have a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit.
- You have exceptional project & time management skills.
- You are able to influence and secure cross functional support through appropriate and effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation.
- You are hungry for results while able to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
