Job Description
We are looking for a driven and versatile Operations Ninja Manager to work closely with the leadership team to drive key aspects of supply chain and business operations for an early stage company. The role will involve day-to-day developing, executing, and improving processes, tools, and systems that encompass forecasting, procurement, outsourced manufacturing, inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, and IT. The ideal candidate is able to work nimbly as part of a small team focused on developing new products and services while maintaining best practices for future growth. This is an opportunity to come in at the ground level of a fast-paced startup, directly impact the company’s trajectory, and be a key contributor to a team that’s changing an industry for the better.
Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Own operational tasks and initiatives in the weeds, including demand and supply plans, production scheduling, purchase order management, and fulfillment
- Maintain key relationships across suppliers and other network partners
- Help source and develop new products and components
- Coordinate transportation domestically and internationally
- Help implement and improve operational systems such as inventory and order management software; design and test integration to Sunday’s tech platform
- Measure and drive cost of goods to meet mid- and long-term goals
- Evaluate and improve operational performance including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
- Work cross functionally with other departments within the company on various projects
Qualifications
- +3 years of experience in operations or supply chain
- Possess functional expertise across planning, outsourced manufacturing, logistics, and customer service
- Relevant experience in consumer goods industry
- Experience developing demand planning/forecasting and inventory management systems
Prior knowledge or experience in lawns and gardens not required. We're excited and proud of our new approach to this industry, and thus are looking for talent from a wide range of backgrounds to bring fresh, new perspectives!
