Full Job Description

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a Human Resources Director to partner with leadership on key talent decisions and help shape the culture and work environment at HempFusion™. Reporting to the President, this individual will drive key Human Resources initiatives to maintain company culture, operate performance management systems and recruit and onboard new talent.

Essential Job Functions:

Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention.

Ensures achievement of organization staffing and corporate culture objectives by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.

Facilitates planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.

Develop corporate plans for employee relations, performance management, change management, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition and organizational development.

Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.

Lead all recruitment efforts for the company, managing outside recruiting agencies and consultants.

Oversee employee retention metrics and work to ensure company culture, benefits and other retention drivers are best-in-class.

Oversee HR systems including employee life cycle processes, employee on-boarding, and off-boarding.

Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance.

Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.

Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

Experience and Education:

BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.

10+ years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

Certification as a Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) preferred.

Skills and Attributes:

Proven experience creating, implementing and measuring strategic Human Resources initiatives.

Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations and human resource management principles and best practices.

Comfortable and experienced using data analysis and reporting to inform strategy.

Ability to adapt to a changing industry and an expanding organization and is open to new ideas and change.

Strong sense of corporate culture and ability to strategically hire and plan with corporate culture in mind.

Strong people skills and the ability to lead a diverse group of people.

Ability and patience to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Communicates effectively and efficiently.
