We are looking for a team-oriented Supply Chain Manager to manage all supply chain, production planning and inventory management functions.

This person is the primary contact for all aspects of our copacker network  This person is responsible for managing the copacker network including supply chain planning, MRP, movement of materials and finished goods to optimize our customer fill rates at the lowest delivered cost.

This is a critical position in the company and carries a lot of responsibility.

Location is Boulder CO, reporting to the VP of Operations.

Responsibilities

•        Manage the Supply Chain Network
  • Responsible for all activities of the copacker and packaging supplier network.
  • Achieve high customer fill rates while using strategic analysis to drive down finished goods inventory levels.
  • Participate as a key member of the S&OP process team through ownership of the supply input.
  • Manage inventory needs for new product launches, discontinuations, packaging changes, and new customer rollouts.
  • Achieve COGS reductions through reduced materials margins
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes within the network.
  • Manage and continuously improve Supply Chain KPIs, such as total manufacturing costs, waste reduction, adherence to schedule, customer fill rates, etc.

•  Production planning/ Finished Goods Inventory Management
  • Primary liaison for all copacker locations.
  • Develop and issue production plans to copackers based on sales forecast, run size, copacker lead times and inventory management strategy.
  • Manage the day to day operation needs for our copackers.  
  • Prevent supply chain issues by acting proactively to resolve issues before they materialize.
  • Provide short term and long term capacity planning

•   Raw and packaging materials management

  • • Manage MRP process for ordering raw ingredients and packaging materials that optimize inventory dollars, spend, and production schedules.
    • Maintain accurate BOM’s.
    • Communicate PO’s and long term forecasts to suppliers.
    • Accountable for raw and packaging inventory at the copackers.
    • Work with accounting teams to reconcile and prevent inventory discrepancies.
    • Continuously improve total raw materials and packaging costs.  Track and Reduce packaging and ingredient waste at copackers.

  Qualifications:

  •         Requires a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering or a related field.
  •         5-7+ years’ experience in supply chain planning functions.
  •         CPG or confections experience a plus.
  •         Experience working with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.
  •         Strong computer skills and must be proficient in Excel and capable of tracking and reporting data through charts and graphs.
  •         APICS certification a plus.
  •         Ability to excel in a highly dynamic group setting and take direction from multiple people.
