To support our growth, we are hiring an analytical and collaborative individual to work cross-functionally and lead a good portion of what we would call strategic planning and analysis. You need a good understanding of finance, exceptional common sense and get it done attitude, some understanding of software businesses, an interest or real passion for both agriculture and technology, and generally speaking good business sense. You are hungry, high integrity, ambitious, eager to learn, with a good base of skills and strength in Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience:
- 1-3+ years professional experience is preferred.
- Consulting and investment banking backgrounds are helpful, or meaningful operating experience in a finance or an otherwise analytical role at a company
- Prior experience, or an understanding/familiarity with software/SaaS businesses is helpful.
You will report to the VP of Business Development based in Colorado, and also work directly with senior management and other team members in both the US and Australia. You will be responsible for leading a number of key areas cross-functionally, with plenty of room for growth. A few examples of the things you may ultimately own:
- Business case impact modeling for key initiatives and new market expansion
- Revenue forecasting by business, geography, cohort and customer segment
- Establish profitability reporting across segments and products
- Build and refine business analysis for SaaS metrics such as net $ retention, CAC, LTV, cohort analysis
- Assist in building Board and investor reporting materials
- Build strategies and reporting that enable expansion of customer accounts
- Enable standardized metrics reporting and dashboards meaningful to senior executives and function leaders for decision-making (we use Domo, Adaptive Insights, Excel and PowerPoint)
