As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated Material Planner & Analyst to join our collaborative team. 
 
What You Will Do: 
This position will own the Material Planning and Inventory Accounting for Coolhaus. Primary responsibilities include MRP (Material Resource Planning), managing inventory optimization, and the processing of inventory transactions/reconciliations. The key focus will be developing and streamlining these Supply Chain core competencies. This person will also be required to conduct ad-hoc analyses as required. This role will report directly to the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. 
Primary Responsibilities: 
Material Planning: 
  • Execute MRP for raw and packaging materials and issue purchase orders to ensure required materials are on-hand to meet Production Schedules. 
  • Review inventory levels and storage capacity versus MRP in order to optimize safety stock strategies, minimize obsolescence and provide overall cost containment
  • Communicate any known or potential raw and package material shortages, delays or issues, while also working to expedite with suppliers or explore alternative solutions with internal resources 
  • Maintains files such as inventory records and delivery performance reporting in order to identify trends and seek opportunities for improvement in overall service 
  • Support Procurement in the implementation of any cost saving initiatives 
Inventory Accounting: 
  • Conduct month end inventory reconciliations of finished goods, packaging materials and raw materials across all network manufacturing sites/warehouses. 
  • Develop proper inventory accounting processes to incorporate manufacturing traceability, including inventory transactions (receiving, manufacturing, and shipping), discrepancy research and cycle count adjustment guidelines. 
  • Process the receiving of packaging and raw materials inventory in DEAR (inventory & manufacturing application system) 
  • Develop efficient & effective reporting functionality in DEAR to better manage raw material inventory levels & procurement needs. 
  • Prepare Production Yield Variance Reports; evaluate standard costing accuracy 
  • Review and assist to resolve invoicing discrepancies 
  • Assist in conducting annual onsite physical inventory counts at Warehouses and Co-Manufacturers 
Network Planning: 
  • Prepare Stock Transfer Orders for Finished Goods across Distribution Network 
Who You Are: 
Knowledge & Skill Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or a history of relevant experience 
  • Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in supply chain (Food industry experience preferred) 
  • MRP, Inventory Accounting/Management, or Manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Understanding of ERP system functionality (DEAR, SAP, Fishbowl) 
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes, including materials management, supplier management and safety stock optimization. 
  • Experience working with Co-Manufacturing partners 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills are required. 
  • Basic knowledge of cost accounting principles 
  • Success in problem solving and critical thinking 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly present and communicate concepts. 
  • Ability to set and achieve deadlines with minimal guidance. 
  • Hands on, “roll-up-yours sleeves” individual 
  • Ability to adapt to change – shows passion & drive for taking risks 
  • Willing and able to step into additional roles as needed.
