Job Summary:
Purely Elizabeth is seeking a highly motivated Chief Financial Officerto help develop the organizations financial strategy, drive improved performance and contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals. The CFO will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing all accounting and finance functions of the business. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking in order to succeed in our fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. This position will report to the CEO.

Roles + Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the CEO, establish short- and long-term financial goals, including sales, operating income and cash flow targets
- Lead the yearly budget process, working with the management team for inputs to achieve established goals
- Provide strategic guidance and analysis to drive company growth, profitability, cashflow, and business objectives
- Monitor and analyze monthly financial statement performance against budget
- Manage cash flow, identity potential needs and develop solutions
- Streamline monthly close process and reporting
- Refine processes and Standard Operating Procedures
- Manage the finance/accounting team and set a culture of excellence
- Partner with sales, operations and marketing to develop and ensure availability of timely and accurate financial information for strategic decision making
- Report to the Board of Directors and key investors monthly and quarterly
- Manage strategic relationships with key lenders, vendors and investorsÂ
- Manage and ensure compliance with tax, audit, legal, and other financial regulations (e.g. sales/use tax, property tax, employee benefits, payroll taxes, debt covenants, various insurance, employee benefits, etc)
Requirements:
- 15+ years in financial leadership roles
- Experience working in food or CPG/food manufacturing is strongly preferred
- Deep experience in private company accounting and GAAP
- Standard cost accounting experience is an asset
- Experience implementing process, procedures, and financial controls
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve under pressureÂ
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, communicate effectively with various stakeholders (Management team, investors and other stakeholders)
- Adaptable with exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Creative problem-solver and conceptual thinker with strong foundation in analyzing data
