Full Job Description

As Cora continues to scale--in terms of products, channels, and revenue--we are seeking a rockstar analyst that can jump in quickly to manage multi-channel planning and thrive in having a high degree of accountability while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude in a scrappy environment.

As Senior Financial Analyst, Retail Planning, you will drive multiple channel forecasts with keen attention to detail at the sku level but also have an eye for top-line financials. As an integral part of a small team in charge of key growth channels for Cora, the role will partner with both external broker teams and all internal functions, touching numerous financial aspects of driving growth including inventory management, ad-hoc analytics, and financial forecasting and budgeting.

This role demands someone who connects with our mission, cares about women’s health, and is driven by a desire to do work with a purpose. You will need to be a quick study and willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up environment, taking on a high degree of responsibility and autonomy.

Reports to Director, Retail Strategy and Sales Planning

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain strong sales and inventory forecasts at the sku level and sell-through tracking to ensure operational and supply-chain efficiency.
  • Think strategically and execute tactically. Build models, tools and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy as we scale.
  • Analyze sales trends, execute detailed forecasts, present learnings to Leadership Team weekly to further develop short and long-term strategies.
  • Manipulate and synthesize data from multiple sources, formats and functions to formulate actionable insights to drive channel growth.
  • Assist in guiding production and fulfillment center requests for retail channels including but not limited to drug, grocery and Amazon to ensure inventory levels support needs of a rapidly growing business.
  • Support the sales team in all quantitative and analytical work-streams related to achieving sales and operational objectives.
  • Assist the sales and finance teams with project based, quarterly and yearly budgeting needs.
  • Review and track departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance or Economics) or equivalent practical experience in financial planning, forecasting, analysis required.
  • 3+ years of experience within a quantitative role, Finance, Inventory Management.
  • CPG and/or Start-up, Brick and Mortar retailers/Amazon experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, follow-through and accountability for results.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with ability to quickly identify patterns and abnormalities
  • Understanding of financial statements.
  • Structured thinking and communication.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and technically savvy.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added work.
  • Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize various work-streams.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
