Position Summary:
The Sales Planning Analyst will partner with the Sales team to develop the strategies and plans necessary to meet the organization’s revenue growth deliverables. The SPA will oversee our trade performance management system and ensure compliance on all planned promotions by tracking activity versus approved contracts. Additionally, the SPA will have responsibility over in-retail demos: performance tracking and financial compliance. These responsibilities will require strong focus on organizational and analytical skills while collaborating with both internal and external partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Trade Promotion Management Lead:
- Oversight and management of TPM solution.
- Ensure compliance with all planned trade promotion expenditures for customers and distributors
- Ensure all planned promotions have approved contracts in Trade Promotional Management Software
- Support Trade Accounting with all necessary activities related to trade spend compliance
- Adjust trade plans per sales input, consistent with budgetary constraints
- Review actuals in monthly Trade Dashboard and explain any variance to forecast.
- Support the development of KPIs, materials, and reports utilized by senior leadership
- Retailer Demo Accruals
- Manage financial accrual of in-retail demo programs; Costco demo, etc.
- Sales Spend Budget Management
- Lead monthly sales and customer review process to ensure achievement of financial and executional targets – support teams in adjusting trade calendar/spend to hit targets
- Oversee and report against total sales expense budget
