SUMMARY OF POSITION
Supply Chain and Accounting Assistant supports the Operations and Accounting departments with international supply chain, inventory management, and corresponding journal entries.
To support the Operations team, this role will assist in the smooth flow of information between all stakeholders to support on time delivery of international product shipments. This includes active engagement in the customs clearance process by confirming documents are filed on time and required information is relayed to the appropriate business stakeholders.
Inventory management support includes the creation of weekly inventory reports, product arrival reports, and informing the team of significant changes to inventory to support the sales team with the most current and accurate data available.
To support the Accounting team, this role will see the international shipments through to completion by identifying all corresponding freight and duty invoices and registering the costs in our ERP system. The role will also perform a variety of other routine accounting duties.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
• Work with the Senior Supply Chain Analyst to learn the intricacies of international supply chain for a successful five brand outdoor equipment company
• Track inbound shipments to ensure customs documents are filed on time, including ISF and 7501
• Reconcile all freight and duty invoices with their corresponding product invoice
• Allocate freight and duty costs to products via ERP system to ensure accurate margin calculations
• Create and transmit product receipt information via ERP system to warehouse
• Create and distribute weekly inventory reports and clearly communicate product received
• Proactively work with the Senior Supply Chain Analyst to solve problems and create quantitative analysis to support business decisions
• Assist with various operational responsibilities as needed, such as entering receipts, purchase orders, shipping documents, etc.
• Assist with routine accounting operations including but not limited to invoice and credit posting, collections, payment applications, bank reconciliations, and credit card processing
• Execute ad-hoc projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• College degree in Business, Economics, or related field or significant experience in the field
• Two to four years of Operations and/or Accounting experience, preferably in the ski or outdoor industries
• Strong organizational and computer skills with clear proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in Microsoft Excel is essential, with a clear competence with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and other advanced functions. ERP experience preferred. Our ERP is Microsoft Navision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills with a mind and passion to solve problems
• Time management skills, including the ability to work efficiently, prioritize projects, and be self-motivated, are expected. Taking initiative and making independent decisions when appropriate is also essential
• A passion for success, a positive and friendly attitude, and a strong work ethic are all a must
• Flexibility and willingness to help in any way possible are needed in our team environment
• Love of the outdoors. A specific passion for mountain sports such a backcountry skiing, climbing, and mountaineering is a plus
