Full Job Description

True Botanicals is looking for a strategic and collaborative Creative Director to join us as a key member of our creative leadership team. We’re looking for an experienced creative leader who loves to also help create the work. We’re ready to tell our story in deep and meaningful ways across a variety of platforms, and we need a creative leader to provide a north star that will guide us, challenge us, and help bring the True Botancial’s creative vision to life.

In this role, you’ll bring your experience developing and delivering impactful creative for leading edge consumer brands to a big new challenge and opportunity. You’ll be shaping the future of the True Botanical’s brand through creative vision and excellent execution. Working in close partnership with our VP of Brand, you’ll evolve our visual storytelling and make True Botanicals the leading skincare brand in the US.

You will directly manage copywriters and designers working cross-functionally with growth, retention, brand, and product teams to manifest our brand aesthetic across platforms in order to increase customer engagement in measurable ways -- high-performance creative informed by data and proven by testing.

You will be taking an active role in helping to manifest our brand across all of our consumer touchpoints and ignite consumer passion for our brand and products.

What you’ll do:

  • Flawlessly direct integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution to post-mortem
  • Develop branded omni-channel design solutions that span across digital and offline channels, with an emphasis on strong creative DR video ideation, execution and production
  • Understand and communicate consumer behavior and how creative can inspire action
  • Lead and drive adoption of a data-driven creative mindset
  • Inspire and lead your team into a creative powerhouse, relied upon across the business to deliver excellence on time and on budget
  • Provide daily design direction and feedback to your team and prioritize incoming requests against business needs
  • Effectively communicate to the organization your creative vision, its impact, and relevance to the business
  • Establish strong relationships with engineering, product, comms, and marketing channel owners to establish consistency and adoption of brand vision
  • Work closely with creative project manager to ensure project deadlines are met and feedback is implemented
  • Maintain and follow best practices for version control, naming conventions, and organization of graphic files alongside creative project manager
  • Manage outside agency relationships where needed

About you:

  • Be a cross-platform thinker: mobile, web, mobile web, video (tv/digital), organic, paid channels, collateral, and experiential.
  • 10+ years of relevant work in creative field with a book of work that shows diversity of experience, including:
    • Leading, managing, and mentoring in-house creative teams
    • Fluency in performance-marketing campaigns across channels
    • Leading brand design and management
    • Extensive creative campaigns across web, social, TV, video, collateral, experiential, retail
