The focus is on ‘new wave marketing’ vs ‘legacy marketing’, blending of a new style with relevant substance and shifting to being inclusive, horizontal, and social. Additionally, looking to employ Marketing 4.0 by combining online and offline interactions. Leveraging online to improve marketing productivity while leveraging offline to strengthen customer community engagement. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales, Marketing, and PR Operations

1. PR/Media Relations

Press releases

Pitching ideas for Articles about Boulder Symphony

Messaging

2. Marketing

Paid marketing

Advertising campaigns

Print and online

Radio

Direct Mail

3. Website

Inbound marketing; ticket sales, donations, and subscribers

Inbound marketing content; YouTube tied to social media…

SEO/SEM

4. Social Media

Manage profiles and presence       

Branding Content

Promotions   

5. Services Marketing Materials

Sponsorship brochure

Concert brochure

Education & Outreach brochures

Positioning materials

6. Email Marketing

Campaigns

Communication & Administrative Duties

    1. Maintain and distribute progress and results reporting to the Board of Directors
    2. Maintain open communication horizontally within organization
    3. Related administrative duties associated with above sales, marketing and PR duties.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports directly to the Board of Directors

Lateral teamwork with Artistic Director & Conductor

As organization grows, position will report to Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to organize own work, coordinates projects, set priorities, meets deadlines and follows up with minimum direction.
  2. Ability to work as a team member with a positive, helpful attitude in developing creative solutions to needs and issues.
  3. Ability to work and communicate effectively with other people exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Ability to exercise sound judgment with established guidelines.
  5. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  6. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and move equipment. May be required to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
  7. Working knowledge of theatre/symphony operations is a plus.
  8. Ability to work flexible hours/schedule that includes M-F, Saturday, Sunday, early morning or evening hours as well as holidays.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or similar.
  10. Professional appearance and presentation.
  11. Ability to work with confidential data and information.
  12. Excellent customer service skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  13. Interest in arts/orchestra operations and management required.
  14. Understanding/specific knowledge of symphony structure, knowledge of music, and artistic event operations is a plus.
  15. Minimum of 2 years arts and/or symphony past experience is required.
  16. High School Diploma or GED required.

COMPENSATION

Position will be compensated per market pricing based on skills brought to the table.
