About the Role
At Emergy you will work alongside highly educated professionals with strong backgrounds. As the Marketing Coordinator, you will develop a deep understanding of marketing fundamentals necessary for startups and food companies within the natural industry. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing along with the entire cross-functional team. Because we are a startup you will get more hands-on experience, responsibility and exposure than a standard role. Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of the brand strategy.
- Assist with day-to-day brand management initiatives.
- Act as the community manager for all social sites. Including developing and creating monthly content calendars and assets, interacting with consumers and analyzing data to make strategic recommendations.
- Manage email content and execution.
- Explore and recommend potential partnerships that resonate with consumers and align to Emergy’s mission. Assist in setting up and executing against collaborative efforts with partners.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of press releases and media pitching.
- Manage websites (Emergy and Meati) including handling updates as needed.
- Assist with event participation (private events, tradeshows, conferences) including preparing materials, setting up for events and working them.
- Once a quarter, conduct and present a competitive audit to include competitive packaging, claims, campaigns, social content and store audit. Presentation to include recommendations for brand/product development.
- Assist with innovation briefs for R&D team.
- Assist with product P&L management.
- Help manage freelancers and agency partners as needed.
- Track and analyze data against KPI’s, provide recommendations.
- Any other duties needed to help fulfill our mission.
This is a full-time opportunity; Monday-Friday working occasional weekends for events, with flexible scheduling.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
- Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, social media marketing and email marketing
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
- Working knowledge of HTML and design and email software
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Experience working with budgets and forecasting
- Experience planning for tradeshows and/or private events
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools
