Are you a customer experience (CX) pro with expertise in CX strategy, customer care, and digital? Do you want to leverage your expertise to help utilities build their CX maturity? If so, this is the job for you. E Source is looking for a senior manager to join our CX research team.

E Source provides independent research, information, advisory, and consulting services to utilities and other key players in the energy marketplace. Our mission is to increase the effectiveness of our customers operations, programs, and customer relationships.

Our ideal candidate has strategic and tactical CX knowledge, is comfortable sharing their expertise with our clients, is a strong writer, and understands the gaps utilities must close in order to create loyal customers that advocate on their behalf. The ideal candidate also has moxy. The job consists of customer engagement, product strategy, profit and loss oversight, occasional consulting support, and personnel management.

The senior product manager will be required to travel, at times up to 20% of work hours. We may also ask you to be accessible and available to clients and team members when needed, including outside of business hours.

 

Responsibilities:

The senior manager is the business domain expert and has primary responsibility for:

  • Directing and executing the product strategy while meeting financial targets
  • Managing a budget
  • Organizing content for E Source events
  • Being a recognized CX expert
  • Leading on-site and phone meetings with customers with ease
  • Authoring reports and answering research questions
  • Attending relevant conferences and events to build the E Source brand, your personal brand, and the business
  • Managing a team of researchers by hiring, retaining, and promoting qualified staff to ensure professional growth

  • Have product management experience
  • Have people management experience
  • Display subject-matter expertise and the ability to provide thought leadership
  • Demonstrate business and financial acumen and proven examples of business results
  • Have knowledge of CX market trends
  • Be proficient in public speaking and meeting facilitation
  • Be able to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Exhibit confidence and a can-do attitude
  • Be willing to help or coach others
