As the New Products Launch Manager, you will be working with a small team to take a developed and successfully commercialized product line and transition that to a retail model. The following skills would be key:
- insight into the gluten-free/natural foods retail industry, trends, future market challenges and opportunities
- experience with multiple ecommerce platforms and sales models, including alternate market channels (QVC, brick & mortar, private label, etc.)
- familiarity with gluten free foods (history, quality issues, challenges, customer experience, buyer motivation)
- familiarity with retail food distribution and logistics
- highly proficient in managing full marketing approach, including social media/online channels, working with complementary channels to expand reach
- the skill and patience to explain and assist others as we move from a 100% wholesale model to one that includes the retail space
- the ability to document, research and replicate successful strategies so that this can be applied to further products as we grow
- an in-depth understanding of the home-chef demographic, the gluten free consumer and customer experience and decision-making
- flexibility: this cannot be stressed enough. We are a very small team, we work on a very lean budget. If you are looking for benefits and a full-time gig, this is probably not a good fit as we are still in the start-up phase. Work would be done remotely, but may require some hours in our home-based office space for collaboration, reviews, etc.
- Depending on your level of experience, ability to get this going quickly and successfully, this could be a temporary gig, or one that transitions to more of a product/sales manager role until the next new product is ready to role out. Again, flexibility is key.
