JOB SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is a one-year temporary contract position supporting the Educational and Outreach Department and Organizational Marketing and Communications projects to develop educational course materials and toolkits in both digital and printed format. Skilled in graphic design and digital design, the Graphic Designer will translate ideas into concepts that engage and inspire multiple audiences through multiple mediums.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize for design, edit, and produce marketing and outreach materials.Â
- Create graphic presentations that communicate insight and brand identity, use imagery and innovative design to guide audiences through complex subject matters.Â
- Pitch ideas and develop creative and innovative design solutions for marketing and outreach materials.Â
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand goals for projects and existing materials; create multiple, connected assets reflecting the Center’s process and educational goals and objectives.
- Establish assigned production schedules with key stakeholders, through the Center’s creative productivity tools and keep project production and program launch on schedule.
- Help shape and refine aesthetic of materials to create a comprehensive look and feel to communicate educational and learning objectivesÂ
- Deliver design solutions to enhance website engagement

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital and visual arts or related fieldÂ
- Superior design ability demonstrated through 3–4 years of formal graphic design experience
- Proficient on a PC computer and have high level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Highly proficient in PowerPointÂ
- A portfolio/website that supports the above qualifications Â

- Strong background in photography
- Experience with WordPress

- Ability to present design concepts to colleagues and to successfully articulate a clear creative vision

- Strong organization skills and highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects with efficiency and minor supervision
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, initiative, and a commitment to the Center’s mission

SALARY AND BENEFITSÂ
Compensation will be commensurate with background and experience. As a contract position, it is not benefits eligible.Â
