Mulay’s is looking for an ambitious self-driven Shipping Assistant to help manage weekly shipping and distribution operations. The Shipping Assistant ensures complete orders are shipped and delivered in an accurate and timely manner. We are looking for an analytical, well-organized individual with excellent communication skills. They must be comfortable with computers, paperwork and information systems. Will train for the position. Get great experience in logistics, shipping, receiving procedures and warehouse operations.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
- Obtain and process product orders utilizing software to track, check and manage orders.
- Manage all documents, processing orders, scheduling shipping, and packing boxes
- Directing the flow of packages from packing boxes to shipment.
- Manage inventory of products & shipping supplies in a storage facility.
- Record keeping including computer input, retrieval, and printing shipping labels. Maintain organized files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
- Trouble shoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them in a timely fashion.
- Physical labor including packing, lifting, and transporting boxes, operating forklifts and pallet jacks is an important part of the job.
Shipping Assistant skills and qualifications
- Hard worker, self-motivated, able to work independently
- Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Excel and Quick Books a plus
- Engaged individual with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization skills, detailed oriented
- Exemplary customer care skills
- Ability to analytically think and problem solve
- Can operate or willing to learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, & other
- Driving, delivery, pickup.
Starting Salary
The salary for a Shipping Assistant will start at $16.00 hr. Opportunity for raises and promotions with successful training and execution.
Shipping Clerk Requirements
HS diploma or GED equivalent. Basic computer skills, knowledge of excel and Quick Books a plus. Driver’s license. Hard worker interested in learning.
