ENSERVCO has an immediate opening for a Financial Reporting Manager/Asst Controller who will report directly to the Corporate Controller. This position will be remote, will require to report for meetings in Longmont, CO.

The Financial Reporting Manager/Asst Controller will lead and manage external financial reporting including quarterly, annual and periodic SEC reports, perform leasing and stock compensation calculations and other portions of the month-end accounting close. This role is also responsible for the monthly consolidation and management reporting processes and is an integral part of our efforts to implement best practices in our accounting and financial planning and analysis functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and deliver on a timely and accurate basis
- Responsibility for areas of month-end close for corporate parent and multiple consolidating subsidiaries
- Prepare detailed monthly management reports with key business metrics and identify opportunities to improve financial performance. Prepare budget to actual reports with detailed variance analysis
- Assist with managing financial audits and quarterly reviews performed by independent auditors and outside field examiners
- Perform technical accounting research and issue position memos as needed
- Prepare monthly bank covenant and compliance reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and work with tax consultants to prepare tax estimates and federal and state tax returns
- Maintain adequate internal controls over financial reporting and implement improvements as needed
- Ensure controls are adequately documented and operating as intended
- Maintain financial accounting systems and upgrade financial systems and controls as necessary
- Management of staff within the Company’s finance and accounting organizations
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA with 2-4 years of public accounting experience strongly preferred
- 2 years direct experience preparing SEC Exchange Act filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
- Demonstrated technical accounting/GAAP skills including leasing, stock compensation and equity
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Software preferred
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and working with large files containing complex formulas
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills with other Microsoft products including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
