Our company is currently looking for a team player to lead our retail sales.

As the national retail sales manager, you’ll be responsible for driving top line sales and market share in the grocery, drug, hardware, and sport category. In this lucrative role, you’ll have the opportunity to sell our plastic free solutions into thousands of stores, many who have already shown interest.  We have grown from 500 stores to over 15,000 in the last year and we look to double this in the next year. Additionally, this role will be a critical leader in developing the retail strategy, product launches, brand awareness and category strategy to generate demand in the market and profitable long-term growth.

We have the opportunity to leverage first mover advantage, favorable consumer trends against plastic, and growing legislation to create a lasting, category leading brand in sustainable shopping bags (and beyond)

 

Full Job Description

Our products are easy to sell, patented, have little to no successful competition, and are in demand due to changing legislation.  A successful candidate for this remote position is: 

  • passionate about making a difference for our planet
  • enjoys sales and cold calling 
  • has a deep understanding of retail & retail sales - 3 year + experience 
  • is extremely self driven to perform.
  • Has some CPG or grocery experience

Goals for this position will be as follows:

  1. Deliver the Results
  • Drive top line revenue goals and increase awareness at the local, regional and national levels.
  • Analyze, monitor and report - Comprehend the impact of programs against  goals and objectives both quarterly and annually.
  • Increase sellthrough with existing accounts by managing a team of account managers.
  • Bring in $4-$7Million in sales over the next year. $10-$15 Million in 2022.

  1. Create and implement measurable strategies
  •     Create the Future – Shape a growth portfolio sales plan for the next 3 plus years and ensure the long-term health of our brand and retail relationships.
  •     Create an innovative playbook -  Introduce customers-new and existing-to new products, features, and releases.
  •     Own product launches - Create excitement across our customers and prospect retailers

 

  1. Strengthen the Organization
  •    Be Strategic and Analytical - Provide insights from data while being Consumer-centric and naturally curious with a sense for solving problems that others may not realize exist and to push beyond status quo.
  • Have the ability to effectively provide strategy and empower team members
  • Superior Communication - Disseminate information of new strategies, sales and account management tactics for customers and product categories.
  •  Effective cross-functionality - Work with key departments to maximize sales strategy and to ensure initiatives meet and/or exceed goals.

 

  1. Build a Great Brand & Community 
  •     Develop sales strategies based on strong consumer and market landscape insights. Set a compelling vision for the future of Lotus via core health and white space expansion to drive accelerated growth. Enrol the organization and rally multi-functional resources to deliver the plans.
  •     Live and breath the team and mission culture to reflect passion with external customers.
