Full Job Description

As a member of Whispir’s US growing sales team, you will be a key contributor hunting, qualifying, and delivering new mid-market accounts, and recurring revenue. You will work closely with Whispir’s VP of the Americas, your sales team, and colleagues from enablement and onboarding.

 

As you learn about the platform and pursue our focused go-to-market strategy, you will provide strategic input on new target markets and opportunities where Whispir can actively prospect. In your interactions with a small but growing team, it’s important that you are an honest and exemplary individual and team member.

 

We are looking for an experienced, innovative and results-oriented enterprise salesperson. We need someone who is personable and focused with proven results in sales. You will have a track record of delivering sales strategies to a variety of mid-market enterprise level clients. You’ll need to manage and organize all aspects of the sales life cycle and use your strong listening and communication skills to carefully understand your leads’ needs and how best the Whispir platform can help them with a very clear focus on solution selling.

 

We are open to candidates who are not located in Colorado, provided they are committed to looking after leads and new clients across the N. American time zones and geographies. We recognize that your work will be remote for the foreseeable future. When it’s safe to return to in office and in person meetings, some in office work and travel will be expected to meet your Whispir team, and for your high touch deals that you are nurturing and closing.

 

Specific duties include:

  • Build strong relationships with mid-market (SME) enterprises.
  • Prospect and generate new leads.
  • Carefully qualify leads that the Whispir platform can service.
  • Use Salesforce and other sales tools/technology to build, manage, and report all your activity and results.
  • Own the entire sales process from lead to conversion - including providing a great transition to your enablement/onboarding colleagues.
  • Use the resources provided to you, such as target market data, ideal customer profile, sales enablement and technical education, to ensure you use best practices in your sales process.
  • Be ready to learn and absorb technical information about a robust platform.
  • Understand complex customer requirements for digital and multi-channel communications.
  • Meeting your individual planned sales targets.
  • Develop quarterly sales strategies and pipeline reports.
  • Proactively collaborate with your US and Australian colleagues.
  • Foster and contribute to best practices with the VP of the Americas and your sales team colleagues.
  • High touch sales process, including some travel when it’s deemed safe to do so again.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of SaaS account executive sales experience working with new leads.
  • Account management experience is useful but it’s critical that you have multiple years of successful lead conversion work.
  • Are motivated and ready to talk to new leads without hesitation and with confidence.
  • Excited to join a team that is still small in the USA with strong growth ambitions.
  • Flexible working hours to connect with colleagues in the USA, Australia and Asia.
  • A natural intellect for understanding great product market fit.
  • Experience selling to non-technical and technical customers.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in startups/growth stage companies AND established enterprise organizations
  • Experience selling communications and/or marketing SaaS
  • Experience selling to mid-market enterprises
