ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
The Phoenix is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which offers a free sober active community to individuals who have suffered from a substance use disorder and to those who choose a sober life. Using a peer support model, we help members heal and rebuild their lives while also striving to eliminate stigma around recovery. Activities offered include group fitness, climbing, hiking, boxing, running, yoga, road & mountain biking, and strength training. Through traditional fundraising strategies and revenue ventures, The Phoenix is able to provide free programs for anyone with at least 48 hours of continuous sobriety. The Phoenix currently operates in 45 communities across 24 states.

The Phoenix's mission is to foster a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from a substance use disorder and for those who choose to live sober. Through activities such as CrossFit, climbing, hiking, yoga, boxing, and meditation, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. The Phoenix offers free programs for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety, operating in 46 communities across the country and for people around the globe virtually. Since 2006, we have served 40,000 individuals.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Marketing Manager will ideally be located in Detroit, Michigan or Denver, Colorado (other locations will be considered depending on the candidate) and is responsible for leading and managing location-based marketing through multiple channels, including email and social media, paid advertising, and events. You will work closely with regional programing teams to create successful strategies and execute to drive new participants, donors and volunteers to The Phoenix. To be successful in this position, you will need to be a dedicated brand champion who excels at building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- As the primary marketing resource in the region, represent The Phoenix brand to the highest degree of excellence and ensure compliance with overall brand standards and principles as the organization expands across the nation
- Define region-specific marketing plans based on the overall company marketing strategy
- Increase brand awareness and help drive participant, donor, volunteer, and advocate engagement
- Manage social media for all local pages across region including content creation, copy writing, analysis, and customer service
- Lead regional communications strategy, to include email and other medium, and ensure that all messaging is consistent with overall company strategy
- Support regional goals by working cross-functionally to create plans and activation around communication, outreach, events, and partnerships
- Track and analyze marketing analytics to continually expand reach and increase impact of programs
- Interact with the local community (media, government officials, and partners) and to build and foster strong, ongoing relationships
- Lead new location marketing launch strategy and execution
- Provide marketing training and acumen to regional team, instilling strategic and critical thinking to drive activities
- Work collaboratively with the national marketing team and cross-functional departments (Ops, Development, Programming, Finance, HR) to reach assigned objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS preferred with 3-5 years of relevant marketing or business experience
- Expertise in social media, copywriting, and event planning
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with an ability to use data and insights to inform decisions
- Great attention to detail, executional excellence, and project management skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with excellent customer service skills
- Detail and precision oriented with a vision and eye for the big picture
