The National Account Manager (NAM) will be responsible for leading the overall relationship, sales strategy, collaboration and coordination of major, national Grocery/Mass retailers across multiple geographies. The NAM will provide cross-functional leadership internally with Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain to align to company objectives. The NAM will leverage our existing broker network to facilitate distribution wins and ensure excellent customer service. This position may require travel in excess of 50%.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for HQ call point as well as all regional buying calls throughout the country as applicable; coordinating programming, pricing and execution with each division and distributor NAM
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
- Collaborates with respective CW Hemp stakeholders on programming, pricing and execution for the account
- Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, including some weekends
- Owns and manages Trade Marketing Funds – provide business solutions to achieve target spend goals
- Responsible for customer collaboration of value-added concepts
- Works with and actively manages broker and distribution partners to outline sales objectives, as well as priorities per account to continue to drive revenue
- Reviews and analyzes sales statistics and market analyses to determine customer needs
- Recommends annual budget based on demand forecast and merchandising calendars, tracks expenditures, and appropriations for assigned accounts
- Manages expenses and budget for self
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High proficiency in the use of syndicated data sources including: AC Nielson, IRI and/or SPINS
- Highly effective presentation skills; persuasiveness and sales ability.
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM software a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to both listen and speak to all types of individuals
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must have a high sense of urgency and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that fluctuates in response to sales demands

Education/Experience Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5-7 years sales within the CPG industry
- Demonstrated ability to create, control, and maintain financial and/or business analyses, including budgets
- Team player: Able to put the needs of the overall business above the specific needs of the territory or team
- Seeks out opportunities to collaborate with leaders in other channels and territories
- Liaise with Marketing and Product Development to ensure brand consistency
- Excellent strategic and tactical skills; demonstrated ability to implement and adapt national programs to the field
