The Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the Supply and Demand Planning teams through reporting and management of all operational tasks related to planning processes, retail store reporting and operations, and overall inventory management duties as assigned by Planning Managers. Tasks include running reports from SAP, assisting Planners with forecasting, and utilizing Square to maintain ideal inventory levels at each retail location in partnership with the retail store managers. This role will assist the Planning team in driving on-time, in-full, and customer-driven assortments, as well as supporting broader company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Demand and Supply planning at multiple levels of aggregation using Excel-based forecasting and planning tools
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales, Merchandising, Finance and other cross-functional business partners as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to gather and understand information including forecast drivers, product attributes, and timelines to ensure delivery of product on-time and in full
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, and follow-up on action items in a timely manner
  • Manage retail store planning activities including: Weekly replenishment and purchase order processing; Update and maintain retail store pricing in Square platform; Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels; Report on and communicate retail store performance to cross-functional partners
  • Support Demand and Supply planning teams through reporting and data analysis
  • Other duties as assigned by Planning Managers and/or Director of Global Supply Chain

 

Key Qualifications:

  • University or four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in wholesale or retail customer service, order management, inventory planning, or other supply chain management role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIF); SAP experience a plus
  • Outdoor and/or apparel industry experience welcomed
  • Ability to clearly articulate time-sensitive information that drives decision making across the entire business unit
  • Ability to simplify complex issues to actionable insights and communicate next steps
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical knowledge of functions like retail store operations, sales, or planning helpful
  • Ability to clean, analyze, and extrapolate key trends from large data sets
  • Analytical skills and the ability to formulate data-driven solutions
  • A resourceful, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to dig into granular detail
  • Comfortable collaborating with a close-knit and highly engaged team
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines, be flexible with change, and follow through on projects to timely resolution
  • Sense of humor and a passion for what you do (a must!)
