Our Social Media Manager will develop and implement a creative social media strategy to connect with the Once Upon a Farm community (ambassadors) and audiences across all social media channels. They will manage the production of engaging and creative content for cross-platform distribution, including email and blog. The social media manager will be responsible for crafting, curating, and scheduling content that engages our audiences. This highly collaborative, creative person will also assess data to optimize and adjust strategies that yield optimal results. Working closely with the Marcom, Digital, Creative teams and agency partners, the social media manager will lead storytelling, audience development, and customer support strategies and expected to achieve high growth for engagement and provide in-depth, analytical, monthly reports and KPIs. The employee should also be a critical thinker, that's resourceful and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also be responsible for evaluating and establishing a presence on new platforms, where relevant.
This role will work out of either our Berkeley office or remote on the West Coast, reporting to the Marketing Communications & Partnership Manager.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
• Develop and implement strategic, creative and highly measurable social media programs and campaigns, with user engagement and experience in mind that aligns with Once Upon a Farm’s digital and brand strategy
• Manage master content calendar and day-to-day posting on main channels; craft blogs, compelling copy and produce visual content to support brand content pillars, product launches, brand campaigns, partnerships and more.
• Establish and lead community management; build and nurture online communities; monitor and reply to inquiries received via social media (reviews, comments, likes, mentions, etc.)
• Collaborate with Once Upon a Farm Ambassadors and content creators; implement content development process and guardrails
• Develop data reports, monitor performance, assess metrics, and regularly report results to broader team, ensuring growth of community on all channels
• Use data to gain insights to affect efficient communications planning and overall efficient media buying; monitor and analyze performance of each campaign to measure the impact
• Monitor trends in social media channels, tools, and metrics and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase the effectiveness of the program; remain current on social media industry developments
• Create and be able to lead a crisis management plan for social climate and culturally relevant situations.
• Work with vendors and channel partners at Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok and others.

Requirements
• BA or BS required, or BA/BS + equivalent experience – marketing, creative, communications, journalism
• 3+ years’ experience in social media or ad agency social media experience. CPG / Refrigerated Food & Beverage Brand is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of the creative and technical specs for each platform
• Solid data and analytical understanding and comfort while being up to date with latest trends and best practices in social media
• Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• Excellent interpersonal interactions with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
• Photography, video and graphic editing skills is preferred. Confident working with Photoshop/Illustrator and other visual and audio editing tools.
