Full Job Description
The Communications and Outreach Coordinator for infrastructure and sustainability is a full-time position in the Office of Strategic Relations and Communications (SRC), serving as an SRC liaison, in coordination with the assistant director and spokesperson, for a variety of units within the Office of Infrastructure and Sustainability (I&S). The position reports to the Assistant Director of Communications and Spokesperson in SRC. The position focuses on communications, outreach and public relations support for Facilities Management and related topic areas. The coordinator supports the Assistant Director and Spokesperson with media relations as needed, and acts as a communications liaison between various I&S departments and other operational areas of the university.
 
The primary objectives of this position are to ensure that:
  • Communications about facilities and sustainability projects are regularly distributed to the campus community and external partners.
  • Communications partners are regularly engaged in processes to evaluate their needs and improve their communications efficiency.
  • Raise the profile of major Infrastructure and Sustainability projects and initiatives.
  • Communications plans are developed in advance to address a variety of audiences and objectives.
  • The university is well-represented and its reputation improved and protected at all times.
