About The Position

This is a full time sales associate position at a growing startup with generous benefits and competitive compensation. This position is a remote position; if you’re in Denver that is preferred, but we will consider candidates from anywhere in the United States.

 

The sales development representative’s mission is to effectively route and qualify leads to the right individual, support the account executives through the beginning stages of the sales cycle, sell to small groups, and build a streamlined recurring business funnel.

Position Description:

  1. Schedule qualified meetings with large group inbound leads for the account executives
    1. Set meetings for account executives
    2. Call majority of incoming leads to qualify them
    3. Reschedule missed meetings
  2. Close incoming small group business (< 15 people)
    1. Optimize sales pitch and funnel
    2. Sell directly to new small group inbound leads
    3. Maintain relationship with closed leads
  3. Assist with follow up campaigns - sequences (call+email)
    1. Schedule post-event debrief meetings for account executives
    2. Generate referrals
    3. Set post-event meetings with the AE and customers
  4. Create and schedule winback campaigns after event
  5. Weekly large group event customer feedback and trend  
    1. Report next steps, types of requests you are hearing about
    2. Ideas clients express
    3. What will your next team builder be? 

 

Outcomes

  • Increase average lead value and close percentage monthly
  • 100% inbound lead follow-up within 1 business day 
  • 100% follow-up with private events within 3 business days after the event
  • Hit or exceed monthly quota for small group business
  • Create a successful winback campaign
  • Create an outbound sales funnel (including a strategy to prospect new clients)

 

Competencies & Requirements

  • Requirement: At least 1-2 years SDR experience or sales (SDR experience preferred)
  • Solid inbound sales strategy 
  • Positive/buoyant attitude
  • High daily call volume motivation and expectations
  • Be organized with how they handle and follow-up with leads
  • Be effective communicator with email/phone/zoom
  • Be able to create effective followup campaigns and winback campaigns within hubspot (or another CRM)
  • Coachable and likes working on small teams
  • Be able to determine what customers want
  • Proper and consistent discovery/qualifying pitch with initial sales calls
  • Have a keen ear for noticing qualified and unqualified leads
  • Goal oriented mindset (daily and weekly tasks and expectations met)
  • Open to change in a small startup
  • Build the confidence and skill set to potentially work a full sales cycle 
    • Close smaller deals
  • Optional: experience cold calling and outbound sales
