The warehouse supervisor supervises the daily activities of their team (8-12 employees) and various objectives of warehouse during their shift. This warehouse supervisor will be on our afternoon shift from 2:15pm - 11:00pm. This position will oversee all day to day functions of the warehouse, inventory control, receiving, stocking, shipping, and employee relations. This position is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of product inventories throughout the warehouses, as well as ensures orders are picked, packed, and shipped while maintaining inventory accuracy and to the customers’ expectations. This position will be responsible for daily and handoff meetings with the appropriate people. This position evaluates inventory needs and provides direction to staff on inventory replenishment.Â
Position Duties & Requirements
Warehouse Supervision
- Â Lead the warehouse team on their shift with excellent communication and clear direction including daily warehouse meetings, goal setting and process improvement
- Â Participate in the hiring, training and development of warehouse staff, as well as performance conversations and coaching
- Â Effectively execute daily hand-off plan with team members from defined shift through clear email communication and proper workplace organizationÂ
- Â Ensure the building is properly secured and closed at the end of each working day
- Â Work with the other Shift Supervisor and Warehouse Manager to improve process, ensure orders are error free, meet timelines and operation objectives.
- Â Ensure that all the employees are on task and work towards achieving the daily objectivesÂ
- Â Work in tandem with various departments and maintain flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals.
- Â Supervise the receiving of containers and ensure all safety protocols are followed
- Â Develop, document, and enforce all warehouse safety measures and protocols
- Â Demonstrate nimbility and provide cross functional support as business demand dictates
- Â Work in tandem with various departments and maintain flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals, along with other duties as assigned
- Â Establish and execute daily cycle count schedule using WMS
- Â Coordinate and oversee the various cycle counts schedule of all inventory and audit for errors and inconsistencies. Investigate, identify and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages
- Â Implement, train and maintain policies and procedures related to inventory control
- Â Coordinate the appropriate processing of various receiving reports and inventory requisitions. Validate the merchandise that has been received to the package and description details from the original order.
- Â Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions. Accurately input inventory balance and adjustments and data related to product in the inventory system. Prepare inventory reports as necessaryÂ
- Â Manage non-WMS inventory, gear library, spare parts by maintaining SAP and Excel documents
- Â Work with sales, customer service, and purchasing manager by communicating product availability and processing lead times.
- Â Organizing and inventorying of all product, POP, and parts that have been set aside specifically for use at trade shows.
- Â Coordinate the logistics and storage of trade show booth at our warehouse, third party warehouses, and to and from events. Â
- Â Ensure all necessary non-inventory parts, tools and displays are packed, organized, and cataloged accordingly.
- Â Assist with merchandising displays for sales and marketing for studio presentations and events.
- Â Assist with pulling, labeling, and packing of event product utilizing warehouse systems while maintaining established protocol.
- 3 years or more in a warehouse environment with elevated or lead responsibilitiesÂ
- 1+ year working directly with inventory, stocking and an inventory management system is highly desired
- Â Strong leadership skills to supervise a team of non-exempt employees/entry exempt employees
- Â Ability to perform tasks under pressure with a positive attitude in a deadline driven environment
- Â Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
- Â Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills
- Â High attention to detail with the willingness to learn, adapt and improve processes & procedures
- Â Ability to supervise, control, manage, instruct and lead others to complete the assigned tasks
- Â Ability to be trained and certified on forklift operations
- Â Ability to manage time effectively, as they may need to handle multiple functions to consistently meet deadlines
- Â Proficient computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn ERP and WMS systems
- Â High School diploma required
This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package which include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401K match, paid time off, community service leave, paid holidays, RTD Pass, gear allowance and some other great perks. This is position is located in Boulder, Colorado and will work Monday through Friday on our afternoon shift (2:15pm - 11:00pm). The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Â
