THE ROLE
As we begin scaling our startup studio to support dozens and eventually hundreds of founders, we need to build and grow an unsurpassed community of experienced entrepreneurs and startup specialists to deliver on our promise of launching new ventures that transform wicked problems into opportunities. The Talent Network Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and supporting a highly curated network of experienced entrepreneurs and startup specialists. Ultimately the Talent Network Manager will be charged with answering the critical question of how to reach, attract and support a community of the best entrepreneurs and startup talent in the world, and how to do so at scale. Vision and values alignment is critical to success.
YOU
You are highly relationship-driven and a natural strategic operator, assembling the puzzle pieces to achieve big outcomes while also driving progress in the day-to-day. You have built and cultivated an extensive personal and professional network through your genuine warmth and connectability, and are constantly connecting the dots between people in order to provide value and build trust across your community. You’re that person who is always making introductions that leave people saying “wow, that was exactly the person I needed to talk to”. You’re comfortable living and breathing in CRMs (you know that if a conversation occurs without being tracked, it didn’t really happen). Business development excites you, pipeline automation is your best friend, and you know how to build and manage end-to-end funnels. Still, you never lose sight of the real human beings you are interacting with, and use empathy and emotional intelligence to understand what makes people tick in order to add value at every turn.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a 3 year strategic plan to build and nurture an unparalleled talent network to identify and serve experienced entrepreneurs who intend to start new ventures.
- Build and manage sales/recruiting and onboarding pipelines for prospective CEOs (entrepreneurs) and specialists (skilled professionals)
- Generate and qualify leads via channel partnerships, direct outreach, network referrals, and inbound interest.
- Conduct extensive direct interviews and conversations with participant prospects to vet candidates, communicate X Genesis’ value proposition, and establish clear expectations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the entrepreneurs and specialists participating in the X Genesis studio.
- Use CRM systems track, automate, and optimize communication.
- Design engagement mechanisms to catalyze, nurture, and grow the X Genesis community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of professional experience
- Strong experience in business development, sales, account management or community building/management
- Experience building out and managing funnels in a CRM
- Direct experience working in startups or entrepreneurial ecosystems
- Highly proactive - you see what needs to be done and do it
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment
- Strong vision and values alignment

- Salary: $60-90K depending on experience
