Full Job Description

ABOUT US:

The Pro’s Closet (TPC) was founded on an obsession with cycling and sustainability. We believe we can make the world a better place by getting more people on bikes, and by repurposing the abundance of high-quality bikes and parts that are already out there. Clearly, a lot of people think like we do because we are experiencing phenomenal growth, and just received $40m of VC funding from groups such as TGC, The Foundry Group, and Edison Partners. We are on the lookout for highly talented, like-minded people who want to take part in our mission: to change the way people buy and sell bikes.

What sets TPC apart:

We are committed to building a great company that provides unparalleled customer service. We believe this starts with great people and a great company culture. Each individual has a key role to play in TPC’s success, but we all work as one team dedicated to constant improvement and efficiency. We welcome making mistakes, learning from them, and not making them again. We are driven by internal innovation and accuracy, and “Lean” is a guiding principle.

Our structure allows you to take responsibility and shape the company for the better and be recognized for it. From top to bottom, we adhere to core beliefs in transparency and openness. We love to work hard, but always leave time to ride our bikes.

If you enjoy being part of a high-growth company that is disrupting the bike industry then we want to hear from you!

ABOUT THE JOB:

TPC is looking for a dedicated in-house, full-cycle Recruiter to join our People Team to help us scale our company from 120 employees to 200 and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who finds satisfaction in creating processes, getting cross functional commitment, and then executing on what you’ve created. You will work with our VP of People & Culture to identify and implement the right Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to quickly grow our team, and take a leading role in building our employment brand, identify creative solutions to fill roles in the current market, and build Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) practices into how we hire.

To be successful in this role you can hire tech and office roles, but more importantly you’ve hired hourly operations employees, and understand their differing needs throughout the hiring process. As our Recruiter, you have a deep belief that hiring the right people that fit with our culture creates a long lasting, successful relationship between company and employee. Most importantly, you can move fast and keep track of many details without getting flustered or breaking anything.

What you’ll do:

  • Full cycle recruiting from new position creation and approval through employee onboarding
  • Assist in identifying and implementing an ATS that fits scaling needs
  • Help define, document, and train and the best recruiting process for each department with special attention to building DEI practices into the process you build
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand job requirements for each position and then write specific, attractive job descriptions that ask for the candidates we want to attract
  • Post and manage all open requisitions, working with managers to usher candidates through the hiring process without missing a timely follow up
  • Sort through resumes and source candidates for hard to fill roles
  • Candidate screens: assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions, but more importantly ensure culture fit and integrity prior to passing them to hiring managers
  • Manage relationships with external recruiters, partnerships, and contract employment agencies
  • Gain commitment, not just compliance with internal stakeholders to adhere toward established hiring process
  • Manage existing internship programs, and help build future programs that help bring a diverse workforce into the cycling industry
  • Work with People Team to help successfully onboard new employees, understanding that after the right hire, a strong onboarding process is your best retention tool
  • Promote the company's reputation and attractiveness as an employer through building our employment brand
  • Stay up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations as it applies to recruiting and hiring
  • Provide recruiting data reporting to leadership and team managers on a regular basis
  • Ability and desire to step in and assist in other areas of HR as needed as we grow our team

ABOUT YOU:

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, Marketing or other applicable field
  • 3+ years in full-cycle recruiting, ideally in high growth environments
  • Knowledge of, or hunger to learn DEI practices in recruiting
  • Excellent organization and writing skills
  • Sales minded and belief that relationships are everything in recruiting
  • Love of people - you will be spending lots of time talking to candidates
  • Experience with creating, documenting, and teaching processes internally
  • Ability to design and implement out of the box recruiting strategies
  • Experience in recruiting both hourly and salaried roles
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Excellent judge of character, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, make good decisions, and ask if you don’t know
  • A working knowledge of employment law and how it impacts hiring
  • Enthusiastic about the outdoor/cycling industry, the people it attracts, and all the gear!

THE PERKS OF WORKING WITH TPC:

  • Salary Range: $75-100k, depending on your experience
  • 3 weeks paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, and a paid day off on your birthday
  • Generous medical, dental, vision benefits
  • Company paid disability and life insurance
  • 401k with company matching
  • Stock options
  • A fun, relaxed, and flexible work environment
  • Group rides and amazing industry discounts
