PSC is a highly productive, high-growth nonprofit that accelerates environmental and social sustainability in the 100 Billion Dollar pet product/services industry through education, tools, project support and collaboration. The organization works closely with hundreds of companies including brands, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to identify strategic impact opportunities that drive increased profitability while bringing collaborative solutions to the industry to address key areas of opportunity including sustainable ingredient sourcing, sustainable packaging, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. PSC is a B Lab partner (the nonprofit certifying body for B Corps) utilizing the B Impact Assessment and SDG Action Manager, a robust, benchmarked and holistic approach to measuring the social and environmental performance of businesses.
The Pet Sustainability Coalition is looking for a full-time enthusiastic and innovative Accreditation Manager responsible for the execution of the Pet Sustainability Accreditation and awards program for pet companies that verify and improve their environmental and social performance. The Pet Sustainability Accreditation is setting a new standard for sustainability within an industry with high consumer demand for sustainable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Content development and promotion including social media, editorial content, ads, and blogs.
- Relationship management for all accredited companies
- Develop, solicit and manage program sponsorship
- Program budget development and management
- Trade show management 3-5x per year
- Development and execution of Accreditation Awards
- Management and Execution of verification process
- Development and execution of accreditation marketing plan
- Continuous improvement of program benefits for multiple business types including retailers, manufacturers, brands, and suppliers
- Accreditation outreach and sales
Additional Responsibilities
- Light/Moderate travel required
- May need to lift 40lbs+ unassisted
- Graphic design and copy editing
- Contribute to and cultivate a positive, productive, and values driven organizational culture
Required & Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of marketing experience in a business-to-business or multi-channel organization
- Knowledge of a variety of business-to-business direct marketing vehicles and tactics
- Experience using CRM systems, Hub Spot, MailChimp & Adobe Creative Suite
- A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects on time and within specified budgets
- Experience with department budget building and reporting
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints and adapt to the unexpected
- Individual must be a strong communicator, have excellent written, presentation, oral communications and interpersonal skills.
- Individual must possess strong leadership skills, be able to motivate and influence others.
- Individual must be able to think creatively and strategically, have excellent judgment and be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
