Position Description:
This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will have responsibilities and expectations in the following areas:
- Process monthly Client billings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Set up new Clients and jobs in the financial system (Advantage)
- Ensure that accounts receivable remain current and kindly follow up on overdue accounts
- Prepare accounts receivable aging and subsequent receipts reports
- Conduct account research and analysis and work to resolve outstanding issues
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
- Prepare annual property tax return
- Perform monthly accounting processes such as account reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Record daily cash transactions
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with special projects and research, as requested
- Backup AP position, when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Your Critical Skills:
- High energy and ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
- Professional and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented, time efficient and proactive with ability to work under minimum supervision
- Positive attitude with willingness to take on special projects
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and trainable on financial software tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or commensurate work experience
- AR and GL experience
