SUMMARY

Purely Elizabeth is seeking a highly motivated Vice President of Ecommerce to lead the brand’s e-commerce strategy and implementation across DTC, Amazon, and additional platforms.  In this new role, the VP of Ecommerce will set the strategy and direction for Purely Elizabeth’s DTC platform, be accountable for driving hyper growth on Amazon, and lay out the roadmap and execute the implementation of additional e-commerce platforms.  The ideal candidate must have rich direct experience leading e-commerce for other CPG brands, be both analytical and a creative problem solver, have strong communication skills, and above all be an excellent team player. 

KEY ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES

 Amazon

  • Drive hyper growth on Amazon platform
  • Own annual planning for Amazon business, including updating strategies, ensuring agency structure is optimal, defining budgets
  • Plan, manage, and optimize Amazon media investment (including Whole Foods Market Amazon DSP)
  • Set direction for Amazon product portfolio strategy
  • Ensure Amazon ecosystem is optimized for growth including strategies around product pages, pricing, and promotions
  • Own Amazon agency relationship and stay on top of Amazon pivots
  • Regularly communicate Amazon performance status and strategy shifts to management team
  • Accountable for Amazon P&L and sales forecasting

 Direct to Consumer

  • Clearly define role of Purely Elizabeth DTC business
  • Set strategies and ecosystem for DTC business based on business role
  • Provide direction on product, pricing, and promotional / campaign strategy for PE.com
  • Oversee direct response media budget and email/SMS marketing in partnership with agency
  • Own maintenance and optimization of PE.com content website in partnership with marketing team
  • Accountable for PurelyElizabeth.com P&L and sales forecasting in partnership with Finance and Insights

Additional Platforms / Leadership

  • Effectively partner with Sales team to build roadmap and roles/accountabilities for 3-year new e-commerce platform pipeline
  • Effectively manage and mentor Digital + Ecommerce Associate
  • Provide guidance on retailer e-commerce support (ie. Kroger.com, Fresh Direct, Instacart, Shipt, etc)
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Shopper Marketing Manager to execute effective media strategies for retailer e-commerce businesses
  • Identify optimal team and agency structure to enable fast growth of e-commerce

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA nice-to-have
  • 8 - 10 years direct accountability for e-commerce on CPG brands, brand-side experience preferred
  • Must have led the strategy, planning, and implementation of e-commerce for at least one CPG brand
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing Amazon channel for a CPG brand, including deployment of media budgets across AMS and AMG/DSP. Ideal to have Vendor Central experience, Seller Central experience a bonus.
  • Direct accountability for a CPG ecommerce business generating at least $20M in revenue
  • Excellent team player and collaborator, able to function effectively across departments including marketing, finance, and operations
  • Must be solution oriented, creative thinking, wired to constantly optimize and pivot
  • Must be a strong strategic thinker with results and analytical orientation
  • Must have strong communication skills to bring rest of organization along with e-commerce strategy and help train/guide members on the team
  • Excellent agency management skills
  • Media buying experience is a plus
