We are looking for an experienced Ecommerce Marketing Manager to help us continue to position our brand, raise brand awareness, and increase retention for existing and future customers. You’ll work with our talented team to constantly create, challenge, evolve and refine the characteristics that make us unique and communicate those values externally both visually as well as through traditional digital marketing channels like email, social media, and public relations.

Essential Job Functions –

  • Creative thinking and idea generation – The movement to live more sustainably is rapidly accelerating and evolving. Breakthrough thinking is required for EarthHero to continue to pioneer this movement and provide exceptional value to our customers.
  • Analyze brand positioning, consumer insights, data, and provide feedback and/or recommendations to the team for how to continually improve/elevate the brand
  • Devise innovative growth strategies, demonstrating ability to map out and execute, a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute a robust digital marketing strategy including, but not limited to:
    • Social media (Native and paid)
    • Affiliate & Influencer Marketing
    • Community Management
    • Strategic Partnerships
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    • Long form blog/buying guide content
    • Brand look & tone
    • Website creative/content schedule
    • Promotions/themes
    • Email/SMS
    • Paid Search
  • Refine our approach, strategy, and contracts related to influencer marketing
  • Define and execute strategy for Traditional Public Relations and determine the cadence and content for press releases
  • Responsibility for the evaluation of, launch, and management of the marketing tools and platforms leveraged by the team (examples below)
    • Affiliate network
    • Social Listening platform
    • Native social post scheduling
  • Stay abreast of technology and policy changes related to the sharing of customer data to ensure compliance and the best way to achieve “success” in that climate
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the overall brand and by channel including, but not limited to
    • Cost per Acquisition (CAC)
    • Lifetime Value (LTV)
    • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
    • Retention Rate
    • % of New versus return
    • Budgets vs. Actuals
  • Work with Executive team to set a baseline, goals, and budgets for each KPI & marketing channel
  • Work with the marketing team to define and prioritize a list of initiatives meant to improve KPIs, building and managing project plans and timelines for each
  • Report to executive team on success of initiatives
  • Monitor and improve the Customer Journey and use this information to inform website and content needs
  • Manage and mentor the marketing team ensuring that we continue increase skills/expertise and cross-train for longer term coverage
  • Work with team members to ensure cross-channel brand and promotional consistency
  • Lead and engage the larger organization with ongoing discussions/brainstorms to ensure a constant supply of ideas

Skills Needed:

  1. Management experience required
  2. Graphic Design/photoshop experience a +++
  3. Attention to detail: managing customer interactions beyond the initial point of contact to ensure customer satisfaction
  4. Project Organization: ability to organize, track, and manage multiple tasks within each project
  5. Positive and professional demeanor
  6. Flexibility: as a young company, job duties will include a little bit of everything! We’ll need you to adapt easily and take on new tasks when needed.
  7. Ability to innovate and perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  8. Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  9. The ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound

  • Highly effective creatively and ability to bring ideas to life.
  • Intimate understanding of what’s driving the sustainability movement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • Success as a channel marketer in at least 2 of the above channels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Passion for helping accelerate the sustainability movement
  • Ability to ask questions, receive feedback, and adapt
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Drive to take initiative in creating and improving systems
  • Time management and ability to multitask
