About the Role: 

Meati is looking for an Human Resources professional with deep expertise and leadership experience in people operations for a strategic role focused on building a best-in-class employee experience. This role will be responsible for Meati's people function, culture, structure and policies and drive Human Resources best practices and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Functions as a hands-on, strategic partner to the business while designing and implementing a scalable HR strategy
• Manages all human resource activities including, but not limited to, recruiting, employee on-boarding/off-boarding, compensation, benefits; immigration; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; disciplinary matters; occupational health and safety; and training and development
• Partners with Meati’s Leadership Team to resolve employee relations issues; provides coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with legal counsel on issues as appropriate
• Plans, leads, develops, and implements HR policies, processes, training, and initiatives to support company’s mission and objectives

• Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance

• Develops and implements HR budget
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated experienced individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and transformation
• Possesses an approachable and welcoming personality that can attract and retain talent
• Mission-driven individual with strong levels of perseverance; works toward both individual and company goals
• Experience in high growth/fast paced start-up environment essential.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing industry is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required and 10-12 years of progressive HR and Recruiting experience
• Excellent interpersonal and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to the needs of the company and employees
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
