This Role We’re searching for a Senior Full Stack Ruby on Rails expert to join our founding team and lead development efforts on core features.

After getting up to speed and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Origin platform, you'll implement improvements, diagnose issues/opportunities, propose solutions, and iterate. You'll work closely with our CTO and be an integral part of creating the tech culture at Origin.

Objectives

• Build new features that improve tour operator and guide experience on the platform
• Understand user challenges
• Fix bugs and help our users with support tickets
• Help plan our product roadmap and make product decisions
• Help decide technical direction and hire new engineers
• Groom tickets in a “lower-case agile” environment
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing team

Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) developing with Ruby on Rails
• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JS
• Comfortable working with both front end and back end
• Comfortable working in a 100% remote environment

Preferred qualifications

• Prior startup experience
• Familiarity with a modern JS frontend like React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience with MySql
• Experience with WordPress is a plus
• Experience in the travel industry is a plus
• Local to Boulder/Denver area for occasional team meet ups
