About ALOHA
ALOHA is seeking a charismatic, high-energy supply chain manager who demonstrates passion, grit and embraces accountability. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, this position will be the key driver of procurement, demand planning and relationship management of the manufacturing and supplier network for this fast growing, omni-channel, plant-based food company. Furthermore, this person will work holistically on streamlining processes and cross-functional problem solving aimed at achieving higher and higher levels of efficiency, maximizing production effectiveness and ensuring high quality, on-time deliveries.
Candidate must have strong track record of success with like-minded, consumer-driven companies, be able to work well in a collaborative (remote-based) team environment and be passionate about meeting stretch objectives while putting the customer first. Core Responsibilities
• Develop deep understanding of and build relationships with the network of ingredient, packaging, and manufacturing suppliers
• Identify and negotiate with new suppliers as required for all product platforms (bars, drinks, powders). Drive gross margin accretion while maintaining quality and safe-guarding against market-based, supply chain disruptions
• Develop and execute purchasing strategy targeted at continual quality and cost reduction improvements and enhancements
• Manage our co-manufacturer relationships and help to negotiate new and existing annual contracts
• Help to develop and maintain our forecasting and demand planning tools. Quarterback the process in conjunction with our sales and finance team
• Execute production planning and PO placement while monitoring deliveries in order to fulfill production on time and with full transparency within our internal team
• Work with the Innovation Manager to develop and manage our new item development and commercialization pipeline
• Lead the demand planning aspect cross functionally with sales and finance
Skills
- 5-7 years of experience within the CPG world and preferably in the food industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or applicable field
- Key leadership characteristics: transparency, integrity, leadership/drive for results, collaborative, flexible, strong communicator, player/coach mentality with ability to roll up sleeves
- Practical time management skills and acting as an adaptive problem solver is a must
- Proficiency within the Microsoft Office Suite particularly in Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and ERP’s is a plus
