Full Job Description

You've overseen a comprehensive national social media strategy and you love maintaining cutting-edge knowledge of best practices and trends in social media marketing. You have creative savvy and a talent for building and converting digital audiences through both organic and paid content. You're passionate about recovery from substance use and believe in the power of community. You've seen the challenges that stigma creates and want to help us fight them. This role will ideally be located in Denver, Colorado (other locations will be considered depending on the candidate) and will drive a comprehensive national social media strategy through collaboration with dozens of Phoenix chapters across the country to deliver targeted, on-brand content. You will be responsible for growing, engaging, and retaining followers, as well as innovating to convert these followers into participants, donors, and advocates for The Phoenix. This highly visible role requires abilities in multiple areas, including social media marketing, content creation, copywriting, influencer relationship management, and analytics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing The Phoenix's social media presence and voice, including developing the overall strategy and its execution, with primary areas as follows:
    • Content Development:
      • Deploy and manage both organic and paid content
      • Own content creation through self-created posts, working alongside internal and external resources
      • Ramp up regional social media, leveraging national content and providing process, tools, training, and guidance to local staff
    • Social Influencer Management:
      • Actively identify and engage with advocates and thought leaders in our space to support the broader influencer strategy of the organization
      • Manage national influencer relationships and lead strategy for localized influencer efforts
    • Community Management:
      • Ensure messaging across all platforms is consistent with brand standards and target consumer
      • Regularly monitor social media platforms and provide timely response to mentions, comments, tags, and direct inquiries
    • Analytics and Performance:
      • Establish social media benchmarks and KPIs
      • Monitor progress and analyze effectiveness to improve performance, meet organizational strategies, and drive growth
    • Team Collaboration:
      • Work closely with marketing and cross-functional team counterparts to gather content and drive key promotional efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years' experience in digital marketing, social media, and influencer relations
  • Deep understanding of social media marketing platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Track record of implementing paid social campaigns
  • Background in Google Analytics and SEO
  • Expertise managing wide-ranging projects across departments and constituents
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions

PREFERENCES

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, and email marketing
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in marketing or related field
  • Lived experience as a peer in recovery
