Lily’s Sweets is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and organized Supply Planner. We are looking for someone to join our team who shares our values: Exceed Expectations, Embrace Change, Assume the Best, Take the High Road and Win Together.
Position Summary:
- Actively monitor supply, inventory and demand. Support the Supply Chain Director on tracking, and analyzing supply flow, production scheduling changes and escalations
- Work closely with materials management and logistics on production forecasts and cadence ensuring schedule can be adhered to based on materials and outbound availability
- Create, review and communicate weekly and monthly forecasts to external manufacturers
- Conduct production and forecast meetings with manufacturers as required by the business and escalate when necessary if production issues arise
- Track supplier production on a daily basis, review attainment and proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Place purchase orders, ensuring they are in line with the required lead times, requested dates reflect requirements and commit dates are maintained in line with supplier feedback. Update POs if necessary, as new information is known
- Keep adequate inventory levels to support the business needs to maintain a 99.5% case fill
- Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values
- Work closely with customer service to review and communicate potential inventory outages
- Participate in cross functional and operations meetings as required and be a key contributor when necessary
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Planner or similar role
- Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management)
- Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)
Reports to: Supply Chain Director
Duration: Short-term/contract position (12 months)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience in Supply Planning Coordination or similar role
- Experience within CPG industry preferred
