ESCAPE CAMPERVANS is a unique and fast-growing travel company that rents custom-built campervans across North America. We build and paint our budget-friendly, functional and fun campervans for weekends away, cross-country road trips, and everything in between. We strive to inspire adventure and exploration off-the-beaten-path. Our teams have local knowledge and expertise to help our renters get the most out of their vacation. All of our vans are hand-painted by LA-based street artists.
Founded in 2009 in LA, we now have 600+ vans across 13 locations – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Phoenix, Atlanta, Portland, Chicago, Vancouver and Calgary. Our headquarters are in Denver, Colorado.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a self-starter with a can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic who is passionate about growing brands through compelling content across marketing channels. Your job will be equal parts strategy and execution.
You are an excellent writer, and you are all over the small details - copy edits, grammar, deadlines, proofing. You consider yourself a technical person and are comfortable speaking basic HTML and SEO languages.
You have a strong background and interest in all things digital and lifecycle marketing, and you know that accurately measuring your efforts and using performance data is crucial to informing future decisions. You will be reporting on what you test and sharing this data in a way that is easy to understand by executives across the company.
This position will report to the Director of Marketing and expected to work closely with our in-house partnership marketing manager, with opportunity to manage team members as we grow. In addition, this position works closely with our reservations and sales departments, our 13 hub managers and our external agency and freelance partners. Â Â
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead organic social growth strategy, analysis and reporting
- Manage various aspects of our lifecycle marketing programs including promotional emails, newsletters, referral program, retention, and behavior-based automated workflows
- Lead content strategy, write and execute emails, optimize SEO
- Manage blog contributor program
- Design and implement A/B tests to continually improve the effectiveness of the email channel
- Maintain the content and email marketing calendar to determine the strategy for messaging, content, audiences, A/B testing opportunities, and more
- Assist with CRM management
- Lead reputation and community management, including reviews and responses
- Lead creative asset management, working with designers for creative needs and owning photo & video needs
- Spearhead all aspects of content development for Escape to use in all phases of the funnel - from idea generation to implementation to analysis; with the ability to optimize for SEO
- Analyze sponsored content opportunities based on business case framework
- Assist in managing the day to day and growing the affiliate program
- Regularly report key SEO metrics to senior leadership
- Assist with paid advertising, digital media campaigns and work closely with agency partner
STRATEGY
- Utilize research, insights, past experiments, and overall business goals to create and update marketing calendar.
- Work with our digital analyst to develop business cases and reporting methods to vet new marketing opportunities. Assist director of marketing in determining which opportunities to pursue.
- Leverage research (surveys, reviews, social listening, etc.) to gain insights into our customers and industry and help drive our decisions.
- Develop our strategy to maintain current SERP positions and expand into new verticals for both the domestic and international marketsÂ
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years relevant marketing experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign & Photoshop)
- Proficient with WordPress
- Prior experience using Google Analytics
- Basic knowledge of HTML – enough to be dangerous but we don’t need you to develop a website from scratch
- Excellent writer
- Experience with creative and content, with a demonstrated ability to blend this with analysis
- Proficiency using Hubspot is preferable
