The role will report directly to the Founder/CEO and manage the organization’s accounting while supporting various financial activities. This person will ensure the accuracy, timely execution, and maintenance of the business’s financial records, including ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow of the Company and its subsidiaries. This individual will also help guide business and financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, enforcing, and recommending policies and procedures to manage working capital, accounting processes, etc. In addition, this role is responsible for processing invoices, monthly close functions, ad hoc reports, accounts payable transactions, journal entries, and financial reporting for four entities. Appendix A includes more specifics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (this is not all-encompassing. Stay on your feet… Duties and responsibilities may change):
• Supports forecasting and financial models
• Establish and maintain Cost Accounting Standards for all inventory items
• Manages the preparation of all financial reports
• Manages relationship with tax accountants
• Processes and manages company payroll
• Maintain general ledger by reconciling accounts; create general journal adjusting entries as necessary to comply with Company and Accounting standards
• Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting systems for financial transactions
• Create monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
• Accounts payable review and entry, expense account review, and posting entries
• Accounts receivable ownership – ensuring sales is following-up with Customers
• Perform monthly close procedures and processes
• Reconcile bank, credit card accounts, and intercompany accounts
• Ad-hoc financial reporting
• Maintain fixed asset records; assign depreciation methods and useful lives
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Requirements):
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• At least five years of accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Advanced to Excellent skills with Excel
• Proficient in Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports
• Positive, upbeat, and professional attitude when interacting with everyone
• Ability to meet tight timelines
Nice-to-Have’s:
• CPG experience, especially in the Food Space
• CPA
• Familiarity with manufacturing
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
