Full Job Description

Manna Tree is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on finance and accounting professional to join the Manna Tree Operations team. The Vice President will be responsible for a broad spectrum of essential operations matters affecting the company and private funds with a focus on accounting, treasury, and financial reporting. The Vice President will lead the development of efficient, scalable financial infrastructure within the operations function to support product, staff, and geographical expansion.

  • Manage and track all financial activities of the company, including monthly and quarterly close processes, journal entries and reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, and expenses
  • Collaborate with external accounting firms to determine tax implications of investments and investment vehicles; assist in the preparation of tax reports/filings
  • Coordinate and manage annual fund audits, working closely with fund administrator and accounting firm
  • Prepare and analyze company and fund budgets, cash flow projections, and perform ad hoc analysis
  • Review quarterly account closing packages prepared by fund administrator to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, and valuation adjustments
  • Review waterfall models, capital calls and distributions, and management fee calculations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual company financial statements
  • Oversee treasury function including banking and establishing and maintaining lines of credit
  • Maintain appropriate controls to protect the assets of the company, including management of cash, company credit cards, physical assets and other areas 
  • Leveraging technologies to automate processes and gain efficiencies; identify opportunities for development and bring solutions
  • Assume future projects and responsibilities within the operations function as the company continues to grow and evolve

Desired Skill Set

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
  • 10+ years professional accounting or finance experience; preferably in private equity, fund accounting or public accounting
  • Knowledge of advanced intercompany journal entries and application of accounting principles of complex transactions ideal
  • Must share a passion for health and wellness and enjoy a versatile and dynamic environment in a small team
  • Hard-working, adaptable problem solver that will do what it takes to get the job done
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and communication skills(written & verbal)
  • Process-driven with strong time management skills, manages high-volume of tasks and multiple workflows with ease
  • Ethical, discreet with impeccable attention to detail and follow-through
  • Thoughtful, imaginative, and intellectually curious with strong critical thinking skills
  • Microsoft 365 (advanced proficiency in MS Excel) and NetSuite experience required; Gusto, Asana experience ideal.

  • Base pay range for this role is $140k-$170k
