Awakened Foods, LLC was created in 2021 through the combination of two Powerhouse brands – Ka-Pop! Snacks and Bubba’s Fine Foods. Ka-Pop! was founded in 2017 to bring authenticity, taste, and joy back to healthy snacking. We believe that non-GMO, allergy-free, and vegan products do not have to be boring and taste like cardboard – allowing consumers to Indulge Fearlessly. Bubba’s is a grain-free, keto, and paleo snacking platform. We are expanding our reach to get more consumers better-for-you food options that they can be excited about serving their families.

Full Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role will report directly to the Founder/CEO and support other executives on the team. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient and successful operations of the day-to-day aspects of the business. This person will undoubtedly have a Jack/Jill-of-all-Trades mentality and passion and be the go-to for the organization. The role will have the opportunity to work across functions and have an inner (and leadership) view of building a business. In many ways, this role is one of the most important in the Company, enabling its leaders to focus on growth. More details can be found in Appendix A.

As a key member of the team, this position requires a highly motivated individual who is not afraid to take ownership of projects and objectives. A successful candidate is quick-thinking, ready to wear all kinds of hats, and eager to ride the exciting waves of a start-up culture. This all-encompassing position will require flexibility, strong attention to detail, 5-10% travel (pending the future of COVID), and a can-do attitude as our Company continues to grow. We are still small, so be ready to help chip in for every aspect of the business, from packing boxes to stickering to operations and executive responsibilities. This is not a “9-5” role; it will require passion, dedication, and a willingness to drive the business forward – a “do whatever it takes” mentality! We have seen tremendous growth and have a great support network. You will be a massive part of the company/family with our small team, so a solid cultural fit is critical!

Appendix A: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (this is not all-encompassing. Stay on your feet… Duties and responsibilities may change):

  • Meeting Planning & Coordination
  • Manage and coordinate I.T. + tech support
  • Manage baseline H.R. Tasks
    • Recruiting & Interviews (including conducting first-round screens)
    • Manage HR system (currently Gusto)
    • Manage incoming and outgoing personnel
  • Manage all purchasing activities for Office Staff (non-production needs)
  • Perform Project Management duties to ensure team efficiency
  • Calendar management
  • Coordinate visitors and ensure a successful tour experience
  • New Hire Onboarding: Manage the coordination of initial supplies, I.T. setup, etc.
  • Travel: Coordinate travel arrangements, including air, hotel, and car accommodations
  • Manage primary Sales related activities and sample tracking/management
  • Primary research (basic regulations, competitive audits, image updates, etc.)
  • Swag Boxes – Putting together broker kits, retailer kits, influencer kits
  • Other administrative duties as needed and requested, including business errands as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Degree
  • Previous experience in the role
  • Intermediate to Advanced understanding of Excel, Word, & PowerPoint (Awakened Foods will cover additional training as needed)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive, upbeat, and professional attitude when interacting with everyone (especially customers to investors)
  • Ability to meet tight timelines
  • Offer top-notch administrative support
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, on occasion
  • Fun and optimistic, with a work super hard, play super hard mentality

Nice-to-Have’s:

  • CPG experience, especially in the Food Space
  • Work in Loveland, CO – (we will accept out-of-state candidates, but they must be willing to relocate on their own)
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when needed

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the size of our Company – with the pay range between $60-80K. It will likely include ownership interests in the Company as well!
