Job Summary: The Seaweed Bath Co. seeks a creative, organized and enthusiastic Marketing Associate in our Boulder, CO office who will report directly to the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior project management skills in all facets of the marketing mix in order to help support The Seaweed Bath Co.’s significant sales growth goals. S/he will also bring passion and a take charge attitude to our marketing team.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing and assisting with initiatives across e-Commerce, Digital, Social Media, Marketing and Product Development.
- Manage projects for successful launch/delivery per agreed timelines and objectives (including schedules, processes, deadlines, approvals, reporting, success metrics, timelines, etc).
- Oversees all data management for digital, social media and e-commerce initiatives.
- Accountable for meeting and exceeding goals/KPIs.
Job Description:
- Assist in the development of brand/marketing strategy, content and assets, ensuring it is in line with brand positioning and voice.
- Create and execute digital marketing strategies and communications (social, e-commerce, website, etc.). Project manager for content creation and deployment including copy, images, videos that will be leveraged across all marketing functions including for online retailers, email and social media.
- Manage overall e-commerce business (D2C and Amazon) including product, pricing and promotional strategies, day-to-day operations, advertising, analytics, revenue forecasting and management of outside agency partners.
- Manage social media channels including creation and execution of the monthly Social Media Content Calendar (imagery and copy), community management and measurement/KPIs.
- Knowledge of influencer campaigns and ambassador programs including seeding, partnering and giveaways.
- Collaborate and support the sales team to provide best-in-class retailer specific merchandising, shopper marketing materials and campaigns in partnership with Director of Marketing.
- Assist with new product development priorities, including: 1) working with appropriate labs for new product creation; 2) presentation and sell-in of new products to retailers 3) managing the timeline associated with an on-time new product launch.
- Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies.
- Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market.
- Comply with assigned budgets, while maximizing efficiency of the budget.
- Participate in sales meetings and tradeshows as needed.
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of marketing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
- This is a full-time position based in Boulder, CO. Remote not considered.
- Natural products and/or beauty background a plus.
- A creative eye plus an analytical mind with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with both traditional and innovative communications and marketing techniques, including social media and e-commerce.
- Knowledge of project management principles; discipline of planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to achieve specific goals.
- S/he will have a collaborative approach with great customer service, both, internal and external, such as interfacing with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is a must, with particularly strong Excel skill.
- Both Shopify and Klaviyo experience are a plus.
- Ability to travel.
- Valid State Driver’s License & US Passport required.
