Awakened Foods, LLC was created in 2021 through the combination of two Powerhouse brands – Ka-Pop! Snacks and Bubba’s Fine Foods. Ka-Pop! was founded in 2017 to bring authenticity, taste, and joy back to healthy snacking. We believe that non-GMO, allergy-free, and vegan products do not have to be boring and taste like cardboard – allowing consumers to Indulge Fearlessly. Bubba’s is a grain-free, keto, and paleo snacking platform. We are expanding our reach to get more consumers better-for-you food options that they can be excited about serving their families.

The role will report to the CEO and will lead the forecasting, planning, FP&A, and accounting of all the Companies entities. The VP of Finance will have significant interaction with Investors and the Board of Directors. They must demonstrate a clear ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (this is not all-encompassing. Stay on your feet… Duties and responsibilities may change):
- Provide insightful and trusted counsel to the CEO, senior management team and the Board on both financial and broad-based business issues
- Serve as key business partner and contributor to growth strategies, tactics, and mid- and long-range planning
- Develop, implement and scale best in class financial controls, performance metrics, and operating disciplines to foster growth
- Develop and direct management financial reporting systems, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the FP&A activities through the development and management of all internal and external financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and mid and long-range plans
- Identify and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that measure the competitive, financial, and operational effectiveness of the strategy
- Provide hands-on, metrics-driven financial leadership to help accelerate growth and provide the executive team with operational insight to better manage the business
- Analyze business risks and opportunities and make recommendations as they affect the financial results of the business
- Drive the preparation and review of monthly budgets and the implementation of rolling forecasting
- Work with the product and revenue teams to optimize product structures and corresponding pricing
- Manage the monthly close process for all entities and ensure all accounting is correctly executed in Quickbooks and other financial/accounting applications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Requirements):
- Recent experience as a finance leader for a high-growth consumer business, ideally with a direct-to-consumer, ecommerce, subscription, and/or manufacturing component
- Deep experience working in hyper-growth environments with exposure to product profitability, pricing models, and forecasting
- Highly analytical. Ability to quantitatively frame strategic initiatives and financially operationalize activities of the company.
- Specific expertise in developing strategic alternatives with cross functional implications and financial impact
- Exceptional influencing skills and experience working cross functionally (across many areas and levels of an organization) and with the Board of Directors
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization. Actively drives strong teamwork and collaboration with an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Expert level understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks
- Possess strategic agility: the ability to initiate and drive change and have the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Easily toggle between issues of strategy and vision and those of the most tactical and granular nature
- Highly intellectual - ability to think deeply and qualitatively about business problems, breaking down issues and presenting solutions
- Strong communication skills. This person must be a good listener and writer
- Ability to be both a leader and hands on "doer"
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and our Company’s size – with the pay range between $130,000-160,000 + Bonus. It will include ownership interests in the Company as well!
