We are looking for entrepreneurial leaders to set strategy and drive growth in a subset of kimkim’s destinations, in collaboration with local travel companies and internal teams. The Destination Development Manager role serves as the lynchpin to ensure that an ever-increasing number of travelers have an amazing experience in kimkim’s key destinations.

Key responsibilities:
Shape our destination and partner network strategy
- Determine KPIs for growth in key destinations, track progress, and drive successful completion, course-correcting where necessary
- Develop and implement growth plans to help high potential local partners scale on the kimkim platform
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and build strong relationships with exceptional local specialists to best serve our travelers’ needs
- Flag key gaps in our product offerings to travelers aligned with kimkim’s overall strategic objectives, and collaborate with local partners to fill them
- Leverage kimkim’s roadmap for destination development, and share lessons learned to help the team improve future efforts
Help our local partners be successful on kimkim
- Train partners on best practices and how to use the platform and its tools
- Monitor behavior and share regular feedback to help local partners improve their performance on the platform
- Identify local partner needs, and work with internal teams including Customer Support and Product and Engineering to develop solutions
Improve our destination marketing and optimize demand and supply
- Map out the destination marketing approach
- Collaborate with local partners and our Content team to create new content and improve existing content
- Increase partner capacity to meet forecasted demand
- Monitor volume and quality of inbound requests, and ensure appropriate distribution of requests across the network
We are looking for people who:

- Have excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Are able to build strong relationships with both partners and colleagues
- Are comfortable not knowing all the answers and are good at asking questions
- Pay close attention to detail
- Have a strong track record of delivering what they set out to do (and letting colleagues know when unexpected delays happen)
- Are able to work independently, as well as be a great team player
- Are eager to proactively take on new projects and more responsibility
- Have a good intuition for travel planning
- Leverage their personal experience to maintain a traveler-centric mindset
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience preferred. Expertise in Latin America is also preferred, but not required.
