It is truly an exciting time to join the 34 Degrees team! Over the last decade we have grown to be a leader in the specialty deli category with our core line of Entertaining Crisps. It is with the same passion that we continue to grow our company’s next phase, an expansion into the snacking category.
In this new role, the Sales Director, Key Accounts will be responsible for translating company objectives into sales deliverables. This position will focus on creating and implementing retail sales strategies to expand and optimize distribution of both the core portfolio and new items. The Sales Director, Key Accounts will lead a team of regional broker and distributor partners to achieve profitable revenue and velocity growth. Coverage includes regional key accounts in both Conventional Grocery and the Natural Channel. This position is ideally suited for a candidate who thrives in a creative and entrepreneurial culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but not limited to:
- Snacking line execution
- Achieve distribution growth and velocity targets for new snacking lines
- Support new and existing items with strategic selling programs
- Execute on overall snacking objectives - Snaps
- Maximize in-store distribution and velocity
- Identify new ways to strengthen in-store velocity and new item distribution
- Grow revenue while maintaining healthy margins
- Utilize data analysis/insights to optimize assortment, pricing, and merchandising
- Work with broker/distributor partners to execute retail fundamentals
- Develop and execute trade-marketing plan
- Work closely with the VP of Sales to build ad hoc retailer strategies
- Lead sell-in of promotional plans for regional key accounts
- Identify and share best practices across key accounts and regions
- Collaborate with broker partners to ensure effective in-store execution
- Create detailed growth strategies/plans for regional key accounts
- Build business relationships with key strategic retail partners
- Leverage market knowledge and data analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Lead planning process for regional key accounts and broker/distributor partners
- Integrate 34 Degrees into retailer strategies for profitable, sustainable revenue growth
- Contribute to the development of sales and trade function
- Collaborate on ad hoc projects to strengthen company processes and capabilities
- Build on best practices for managing and evaluating broker partners
- Identify opportunities to further develop individual and team goals
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in branded food sales, ideally within the deli and/or snack aisle, with direct responsibility for delivering volume and dollar growth
- Direct account and retail engagement experience, required
- Direct broker management experience, required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, preferred
- Travel required 40-50% of the time, throughout the Eastern US (as applicable)
